Payments
For:
– Bread Installment Loans, your first payment will be due no fewer than 30 days from the date the retailer settles your transaction.
– Bread (Debt Consolidation) Loans, your first payment is due no fewer than 30 days after all your approved debt consolidation transfers are complete.
– Bread SplitPay your first payment is taken at checkout and the next three payments will be taken out automatically every 2 weeks over the next 6 weeks.
We’ll send you a message once your loan starts that includes your monthly payment date and monthly payment amount.
You can also view your payment schedule on Bread’s Member Portal.
If you don’t submit your payments by your due date, your account will be past due. Paying late may impact your eligibility for Bread® loans in the future and may ultimately affect your credit score, as we report repayment information to the credit bureaus.
You can update your payment method in Bread’s Member Portal by navigating to the Account page “Payment Information” section and selecting “Connect new account”. If you enrolled in AutoPay, you can also manage your AutoPay settings from Bread’s Member Portal.

You can enroll in AutoPay from Bread’s Member Portal Home Page by selecting “Enroll in AutoPay”.

If you check out with SplitPay, you will enroll in AutoPay at the time of checkout.
Once you are enrolled in AutoPay, you can manage your AutoPay settings in Bread’s Member Portal.
You cannot make payments on Bread Installment Loans or a Bread Loan (credit card debt consolidation) via credit card or business debit cards.
Credit cards can be used for payments on your SplitPay payment plan.
Additionally, Bread does not accept Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) payment cards because we are not designated as a health services retailer.
Yes, you can make payments in Bread’s Member Portal on the Home Page by selecting “Make a Payment”. There is never a penalty for paying early.

Any prepayments will go directly towards your next installment payment. Once the next installment payment is covered, any excess amount is applied to your principal balance.
